You will be required to inspect premises to determine compliance with relevant sections of the zoning, building and related bylaws; investigate bylaw complaints and enforce bylaws related to zoning, signs and related matters.

You will manage a small group engaged in investigating and seeking compliance with the District's building, property use, standards of maintenance, business licence, encroachment, small structures, zoning, environmental, sign and other related bylaws.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the BC Building Code, BC Plumbing Code, and municipal inspection and permitting processes.

As the Building Inspector 1, you will inspect residential, industrial and commercial projects during construction, alteration and repair to determine conformity with established bylaws, acts, codes, standards and regulations.
