Apply for Certification
A Regular or Associate One (1) member is eligible to apply for Certification after successfully passing the respective Building Officials’ Association of British Columbia (BOABC) Examinations and meeting the work experience requirements.
Eligibility for Certification
- be a Regular or Associate 1 member of the Association in good standing;
- be qualified at the level(s) of certification being applied for;
- obtain the required work experience; and
- submit an application to the Association and pay the $50 application fee;
Retaining Levels of Certification
- maintain BOABC membership;
- complete the required Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points; and
- attend and fulfill Code Change knowledge requirements when a new edition of the BC Building Code is adopted.
