Presentation Overview: Does the smoke damper’s duct detector need to be connected to the fire alarm system? Especially with the new 2018 BCBC requirements, more smoke dampers are being installed in buildings. A discussion if the duct smoke detectors are required (by code) to be connected the fire alarm systems and why would it be important to be connected to the fire alarm system.
