Todd Loucks

Before becoming a Building Official with the District of Kitimat and joining the ranks of the Building Officials Association of BC in 2014, Todd had the good fortune of working in all 3 sectors of the construction industry (building, infrastructure and industrial).  Over the past 20 years, Todd’s construction experience includes working as a commercial construction estimator, a building envelope technologist, and a project coordinator and trades qualified carpenter. Along with his architectural engineering diploma from BCIT (Honors 2006), and education from Simon Fraser University, Todd believes in having a good balance of education and work experience.  Todd continues to develop his role as a Building Official by attending industry related courses for both professional development and personal interest.

Outside of work, Todd is an active member with various community programs, either at the executive level or on the ground, volunteering his time promoting and helping kids programs.

Todd enjoys spending time with his family, participating in numerous outdoor adventure activities, including canoeing, camping and hiking.  Further interests include woodworking and Volkswagen vehicles.
