Presentation Title: Using Data to Cut Through Noise on Codes

Presentation provided by: Passive House Canada

Presentation Description: With multiple code pathways available, it can be difficult to see which paths have the greatest impact and those that are falling behind the standards. To better understand these trends, Mark Bernhardt, President, Bernhardt Contracting, will share how his team has developed tools to run thousands of energy modelling options on specific homes as well as the ability to data mine their extensive catalog of real-world projects. Using these tools, this session will filter through the noise and examine trends. Compliance trends, accuracy, actual energy reductions and the predictability of the various metrics will all be discussed.
