Susan MacDougall and Danny Taylor of Focal Engineering present findings from a recent study for the Township of Langley on how higher BC Energy Step Code (ESC) and Zero Carbon Step Code (ZCSC) requirements affect Part 3 buildings. The presentation will explore impacts on envelope and mechanical design, capital cost, peak electrical demand, and the influence of EV charging on electrical infrastructure. This presentation aims to help community members understand how buildings are expected to evolve under higher code levels and what strategies can support their successful implementation.
Additionally, there will be a 30-minute session for Township updates. The full length of the webinar is 2 hours and will include time for Q&A.
