Part 9 Lateral Bracing Series Refresher
The BCBC 2024 changes to Part 9 lateral bracing have now been in effect for some time, and it has been over a year since our original BOABC Lunch & Learn Series 1 and 2 on the topic.
Since then, many practitioners have been actively working with the new provisions in real projects. Along the way, new resources have emerged, interpretations have been tested, and our collective understanding of the provisions has continued to evolve.
This refresher session will revisit some of the original slides and core concepts with a fresh perspective. We will also include a comparative walkthrough of the Simplified Approach and the Calculation Method, highlighting how the two approaches differ in application and where each may be most appropriate.
Join us as we step back through the fundamentals with the benefit of a year of practical experience.
