BCIT Two-Day Workshop: Hands on High Performance Enclosures for Net Zero and Passive House Buildings

This two day, in person workshop at the BCIT High Performance Building Lab provides building inspectors and building officials with hands on experience constructing and evaluating high performance enclosure systems. Participants will work through a series of guided lab stations focused on air barriers, thermal control, and low TEDI strategies used in net zero and Passive House buildings. The workshop emphasizes code intent, constructability, and inspection considerations related to the BC Energy Step Code and Passive House requirements. Participants should be prepared for light construction activities. All tools and materials are provided on site.

Dates: Saturday, May 23 & Sunday, May 24, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Cost: $250 plus GST (does not include transportation or meals)

Location: In-person at the BCIT High Performance Building Lab (max 24 people)
