The next quarterly meeting for the Building Officials Peer Network (BOPN) is taking place on Tuesday, June 30, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm PT.
There is increasing interest in heat pump/mechanical permitting to meet Code requirements, ensure occupant safety, and access incentive programs. At the next Building Officials Peer Network, we will be joined by Ryan Coleman (Ecolighten) and Tom Berkhout (Birch Consulting) to discuss heat pump systems and how permitting can support quality installation practices, the opportunities and barriers for heat pump permitting, and what tools, resources, and processes could help streamline and support AHJs. Please join us to learn more about heat pumps and what the current landscape is regarding heat pump permitting, and to share your thoughts and insights on what permitting for heat pumps could and should look like.
