Trevor Welsh

Trevor is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology. He began his career as a Building Official working for the District of North Vancouver in the role of Plan Reviewer. Following this, he moved to the City of Port Moody as Building Official, which involved working as a Plan Reviewer and Building Inspector and also conducting plumbing inspections and plan reviews. Trevor is currently the Manager of Building and Bylaw Enforcement with City of White Rock. Trevor obtained his Registered Building Official designation as well his Level 2 plumbing official certification in 2017.

In addition to his work as a Building Official, Trevor has also served as a reserve officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. In his role with the Cadet Instructor Cadre, Trevor has mentored and coached youth and young adults across the Province of BC. He was also elected as the first ever Lower Mainland Regional Councillor for the Cadet Instructor Cadre Branch Association of BC (the professional association for Cadet Instructor Cadre officers in BC). Following this, he was further elected and served as a Vice-President, President, and Past-President of that association.

In his spare time, Trevor enjoys giving back to the building community by instructing at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, as well serving on the Executive Committee of the Building Officials Association of BC.

Trevor resides in Port Moody with his wife and daughter.
