Blaine has been working at the Regional District of Fraser-Ft George since 1994 in a variety of roles and transferred into building inspections in 2007 after achieving his Level 1 Building and Plumbing qualification. Since 2017, Blaine’s current role has been the Manager of Inspection Services and Sustainability Practices which encompasses building inspection, bylaw enforcement and projects to reduce corporate greenhouse gas emissions.
Blaine served as the Central and Northern Interior Zone Representative for a term (2018-2020) and also served as an alternate from 2012-2018 and 2020-2022. During his time on the Executive, Blaine was part of the Hiring Committee for the current Executive Director and sat on an Electronic Voting Committee to investigate options of electronic voting at AGM’s to ensure more membership voices were heard.
Blaine is excited to fill the vacant role for the Central and Northern Interior Zone and to have a voice on the Executive for the northern members.
