Since the original version of the Handbook was first developed in 2019, BC Building Code has been updated to require Step 3 of the Energy Step Code and Emissions Level 1 of the Zero Carbon Step Code. This new version of the Handbook includes updated guidance on the Energy and Zero Carbon Step Codes and offers clarification around common compliance challenges.
