Gordon Zhou

Gordon is an experienced director with a demonstrated history of leading large-scale capital facilities and infrastructure projects in public and private industries. He is currently the Director of Engineering at TransLink, overseeing rail expansion and integration projects in Metro Vancouver. A licensed professional engineer in Canada and the United States, he is also a program and project management professional who balances technical and business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Gordon is appointed to the BOABC Executive Committee by the Ministry. Outside of this, he also serves as board director at the Antarctic Institute of Canada focused on advancing scholarly research and promoting student educational and development programs across western Canada. As a devoted advocate of continuing education and lifelong learning, Gordon also shares his passion as a teaching faculty in project management at Simon Fraser University and the Vancouver Community College. He is also actively involved in the provincial engineering regulatory board, Engineers and Geoscientists BC, where he serves as Vice Chair of the Professional Practice Advisory Committee and previously served on the Continuing Education Advisory Committee.

Gordon has a civil engineering undergraduate degree from The University of British Columbia. He holds a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of California – Los Angeles and graduated with an MBA from the Simon Fraser University Beedie School of Business. He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Engineering Management from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
