The attached information was distributed to all qualified code officials and chief administrative officers of local authorities as a reminder of the mandatory scopes of practice for qualified code officials under the Building Act (Act). The scopes of practice are established in Tables 1-3 of the Building Act General Regulation. Individuals and local authorities are responsible for abiding by the scopes of practice in accordance with section 10 of the Act.
