We offer a student membership for those who sign up for a course with us. Please click here to complete the membership application form. Once you have been approved for membership, you will receive an email including the link to register as a BOABC member for the course.
Note: Your eLearning username and password that you will be given will be different from your member profile and your members-only area usernames and passwords.

Building Level 1 Online Course & Qualification Exams (BC1-1 & BC1-2)
The BOABC launched the Level 1 course in July 2019 (2018 BCBC – Rev. 3). The BOABC’s Level 1 code education material is endorsed by National Research Council (NRC) to meet the intent of the codes. Click here for Level 1 module descriptions.

Introduction to the BC Building Regulatory System (BOIT)
The BOABC launched the Introduction to the BC Building Regulatory System (BOIT) in February 2021.
- BOABC members:

To view courses successfully, we recommend the following:
- A modern, up to date browser on a computer or laptop. We recommend Google Chrome or Firefox.
- Tablets and smart phones may work but are not officially supported by BOABC for online learning.
- A high speed Internet connection that is strong and stable. Videos and other interactive elements in courses require a good connection.
- Javascript and cookies must be enabled. Please refer to your browser’s documentation for assistance.

- To view documents you will need a PDF reader (e.g. Adobe Reader) and Microsoft Office.
